Marks and Spencer, aka “Marks and Sparks” as known to the local Londoners, was founded in 1884. Since then M&S has become an international shopping destination. Recently, they travelled to Sydney, Australia and created the perfect welcoming party to launch their Australian online residence.

I was honored to be one of the few Australian bloggers to be invited to this incredible event. As soon as I arrived I was in a bloggers heaven. Greeted with a glass of champagne and welcomed by some of Australia’s most influential people in the fashion and lifestyle blogging industry. Hosts Nadia Fairfax, Kate Waterhouse and Rebecca Judd who I was lucky enough to get to know throughout the night.

The location of the event, situated in the iconic suburb of Woollahra, was absolutely perfect and completely complimented Marks and Spencer’s style. Each part of the house was styled by Marks and Spencer showcasing their latest range of products. From the incredible table settings to the beautiful clothes hanging in the closet, this place was ideal!

It was a privilege to listen and learn about the history of M&S and to know how far they have come. From a single market stall to an international brand both online and in stores.

The rest of the night was filled with champagne, gorgeous music and many conversations with like-minded bloggers. It was a great night to get to know some amazing people who share the same passion with me.

Thanks to Marks and Spencer and Shopping Links, I was able to enjoy my first fashion and lifestyle event. The champagne stopped flowing and the night came to an end. Off I went to catch my plane back to Brisbane. I was so excited to find the perfect plane snack in my goodie bag, ‘Percy Pig Lollies.’
